Locals Honor and Remember Heroes on Veterans Day

Locals Honor and Remember Heroes on Veterans Day Elizabeth Perez

On this Veterans Day you can see tributes to military veterans who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces throughout Hunterdon County.

The Clinton Sunrise Rotary Club created the  Flags for Heroes installation at the New Jersey Water Authority Property on Halstead Street in Clinton.  It honors heroes, named by residents, and raised over $2,000 to help community service projects.

Many local homes in the area have planted mini flags outside of their homes to show their gratitude.

Lets us not forget the monument to alumni who served in the armed forces, located in front of the Delaware Valley High School, which took shape because an alumni teen wanted a way to say, "We thank you, and we support you."
